@ 564 The disobedience of the Children of Israel 7:161-162


7:161 When it was said to them, 'Dwell in this village, and eat of whatever you please; and say, "Unburdening" and enter the gate prostrating, We will forgive you your sins and increase the good doers.'
# وَإِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْكُنُوا هَذِهِ القَرْيَةَ وَكُلُوا مِنْهَا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمْ وَقُولُوا حِطَّةٌ وَادْخُلُوا البَابَ سُجَّداً نَّغْفِرْ لَكُمْ خَطِيئَاتِكُمْ سَنَزِيدُ المُحْسِنِينَ 161
7:162 The wicked amongst them changed what was said for other words. Therefore We sent down upon them from heaven a punishment for their evil doing.
# فَبَدَّلَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلاً غَيْرَ الَّذِي قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزاً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَظْلِمُونَ 162
